On Saturday, July 7, Aussie rock force and political animals Ghostwriters took to the stage as part of the global 24 phenomena Live Earth. Rob Hirst and Martin Rotsey from Midnight Oil will play at the 'Peace Gig' this Saturday, June 16 at Souths Leagues Club, West End Brisbane. The gig is to raise awareness about the upcoming Talisman Sabre war games to be hosted by Australia.

This year, with the release of the Ghostwriters' new album 'Political Animal', the most frequently asked question asked of lead singer Rob Hirst was "When are you guys touring?". Now at last they're coming to perform their politico rock in nine shows across Oz this June/July.

On 07-07-07 Ghostwriters will perform alongside some of Australia's best talent in the Aussie show of the 24-hour global concert Live Earth which will span seven continents. Tickets are on sale now so grab yours and be part of music history.

From the the end of May to 2 July 2007, Australia will play host to the largest military exercise in Australia - Operation Talisman Sabre. According to the Public Environment Report released October 2006 it will involve nearly 14,000 US troops and over 12,000 Australian personnel.

Before they hit the East Coast Blues and Roots Fest, Ghostwriters will do a special show at the Hopetoun Hotel in Sydney on Wednesday, April 4, performing songs from their new album 'Political Animal', released on April 14.
